Eagles vs. Geese

Each winter, sea eagles and golden eagles are attracted to the waters of Kristianstad’s Vattenrike. Some winter days, you can see up to 40 different eagles. They are attracted by the thousands of wintering geese. Kristianstad’s Vattenrike is a UNESCO-protected biosphere reserve with lakes, shore meadows, swamps, marshy woods and coastal lagoons as well as a particularly rich birdlife. It also the site of the lowest point in Sweden – 2.41 metres below sea level.

With guide, camouflage net and adapted rubber boat, you can come really close to the eagles.

Ice and extremely varying water levels make each safari unique. Sometimes it works better with an all-terrain vehicle.
